The Boys Cross Country team competed in the Division I regionals at Allendale High School this past Saturday. The Red Hawks finished a respectable 10th out of 17 schools in a tightly contested race.
The Red Hawks were led by Junior standout Espen Wood running an impressive 16:46 on a muddy course, very close to qualifying for the State meet . Senior Carter Moleski saved his best for last running a lifetime personal record (PR) of 17:19. Carter was followed by another Senior, Gabe White, who has been a stalwart for the boys team over the last 4 years. Senior Gabe Minnich also ran well and has been a fixture on the squad for four years showing steady improvement each season due to hours of dedication to the sport. Senior Cayden Steinebach concluded his final race in a Red Hawk uniform with a seasons best time of 18:11. Fellow Senior Alex Cole also finished up his high school career with a strong performance. Congratulations to our Seniors on their impressive High School cross country careers.
